Driving along Spring Creek Drive in Jackson Hole, WY we had to stop the car, turn around and pull over. The barn, the fence, the fall colors, the Grand Tetons - oh, how inspiring!
First Look - Grand Tetons
The drive south on US 89 from Yellowstone National Park to Jackson Hole is a scenic drive and then........... the Grand Tetons seem to burst into view from out of nowhere! I stopped many times to absorb the beauty. This is a photo from one of those times.
Majestic Grand Tetons
It seems that no matter where you drive in the Jackson Hole area, you have magnificent views of the Tetons. Exploring little 2-lane and gravel roads was the most fun.
Tetons from the Side of the Road
This is another stop along US 89 coming south from Yellowstone National Park toward Jackson Hole. I was sitting on ground when I took this shot and then just stayed there for the longest time - so full of gratitude.
Panoramic Grand Tetons
Once again stopping along US 89 heading south from Yellowstone National Park I pulled over to get a composite shot of the Tetons. Such majesty and natural beauty - I don't ever want to become so jaded that I take this for granted. We are blessed.
Sunset over the Tetons
The fire crackling behind us we stepped out onto porch to see this wonderful sunset over the Grand Tetons. The higher jagged peaks are off to the right but it didn't diminish the glory of the moment.
Snowshoeing in the Tetons
We spent a day on snowshoes exploring the forests at the base of the Tetons. We had the forest, the mountains, the snow to ourselves the entire time ---- what a way to get up close and personal with nature.
Grand Teton National Park
As we explored the roads near the park, we were gifted with so many wonderful sites. Wouldn't it be awesome to wake up every morning to something like this?
Large Grand Teton Panorama
On a hillside across the valley from the Tetons I was able to put together a composte of 22 images to create a panorama of the Grand Tetons. Still, you need to be there to experience the true wonder of this place but when I look at this, I am there again!
