Oregon Coast Near Sunset
I was driving from Seattle to Portland when I decide to head to the Oregon coast. It was near dusk but the clouds, the ocean mist, the fading light all added to an interesting Oregon coast photo.
I got to Haystack Rock on the Oregon coast just before the sun set. The drive along the coast was magical and one I want to come back to do again and hopefully a little better weather.
Ocean Mist - Oregon Coast
Heading south along the Oregon Coast as the sun is fading on the cloudy horizon, the view kept changing. I decided to pull over and see if it would open enough for a photo - this is what I was able to capture.
Oregon Hike in the Forest
Hiking in the lush forests in Oregon was a real treat. The vegetation was so thick and vibrant. Here I captured a bit of our hike from under the waterfall.
That is smoke rising from the Kilauea caldera. It was a bit intimidating knowing I was that close to the opening of an active volcano.

Black Sand Beach Siesta

Great snorkeling is just one of the fun things to do at Haunama Bay, Oahu, Hawaii. It is a volcanic crater where part of the ring fell off into ocean.

Horseshoe Bend, Arizona
Near Page, AZ this horseshoe shaped meander of the Colorado River can be viewed from the very edge of a cliff that drops 1,000' to the river below. Gulp. It puts butterflies in my stomach.

Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. The amazing shafts of sunlight at certain times of day are incredible. I was lucky enough to capture a double ray.
